Last week I had the pleasure of playing the Moon Block Party/Desert Daze festival out in Desert Hot Springs! The night was amazing, with Funky Soul DJs Miles & Clifton spinning some amazing soul/funk/rock n roll gems. Such a rad time sharing the stage with bands like Breakestra. We had a BLAST! Anyway, a reporter from the Desert Star Weekly was hanging out during the show, caught our set and we did a quick interview...article above! I love that she says "Tina Turner, Janis Joplin and Joan Jett"...'cause those rockers are definitely some of my influences. Check out the full article here:

Desert Daze Festival "What You Missed"

I'm super excited to be joining in the festivities for Record Store Day tomorrow at one of my favorite record shops, High-Fidelity in Los Feliz! If you haven't stopped by this store yet, you definitely should swing by! They have a great selection of used vinyl & new releases, plus some pretty swank high end audio gear. The bands will start playing at 4pm...free beer, all ages, records and rock 'n' roll. What more could you want??

Last week we played our second night at for my split Harvard & Stone residency with Zachary James! Andy Frasco also joined, as well as a surprise set by Kate Nash (who funnily enough borrowed all our gear- and had a bit of a hard time with Martin's crazy 6-string bass, haha!) Writer Bernard Baur recently featured my Kickstarter project in the Business section of Music Connection Magazine!! Once again, thanks to everyone who helped make that project a success!

We had the pleasure of working with Grammy-award winning producer Tom Weir who did a live mix of our performance! Was really great to work with everyone there. Rod Stewart is doing his album there soon, so uh, I might be going back for that. Ha!
